How Junior High Performance Management works

"So what exactly does the Junior High Performance Management service involve?"
This isn't simply a training program. It's an ongoing management service designed to make sure every part of your teenager's physical development is working together—not competing against itself.
Today's junior footballers often juggle school football, club football, representative programs, academy training, gym work, individual coaching and other commitments. The challenge isn't usually a lack of opportunities - It's making sure everything fits together.
Here's an overview of what that looks like in practice.
- Individualised Programming That Evolves Every Week
Personalised ongoing strength, power, speed and athletic development program built around their age, training history, physical needs, injuries, goals and weekly schedule. The amount of programming will be dependent on age, ability, goals and current commitments.)
As they improve, their program improves with them.
Each week can require tweaks depending on current situation, fatigue, busy life periods. We adjust and optimise around this.

- Bringing Every Program Together
Many players already receive training from different places.
School.
Club.
Representative programs.
Gym.
Physio.
Skill coach.
We will not just add more on top of this, but rather prioritise from what they already have, and give clear direction in how to do this practically.

- Weekly Communication with Coaches and Health Professionals
Where appropriate, I'll regularly communicate with club coaches, school staff, strength coaches and physiotherapists (when there are injuries or concerns).
Everyone has valuable information. The goal is making sure everyone is working from the same page.
Parents shouldn't have to coordinate multiple coaches themselves. Good communication reduces confusion and helps keep the athlete at the centre of every decision.
- Ongoing Program Adjustments & Communication
Teenagers are unpredictable;
-School exams arrive
-Training schedules change
-Representative football appears
-Growth spurts occur
-Niggles develop
-Programs aren't written and forgotten
Whenever circumstances change, adjustments can be made
- Load Monitoring and Physical Tracking
Training loads are monitored using simple session ratings (Session RPE), alongside regular tracking of workload, recovery and how the athlete is responding physically.
This provides a much clearer picture than simply asking, "How are you feeling?"
An important point here – this is largely an education piece. It is very easy to get caught in the weeds here – and start living by numbers. In this sense this is an optional element to incorporate, but one we encourage as a small habit.
But of course the overall load in a teenagers life will also include;
-PE lessons
-Lunch times
-School camps
-Work/part time jobs
-Study/exams (high mental stress)
-Poor sleep/late nights
Which can’t be quantified as easily. However all of which are taken into account when they occur.

- Long-Term Athletic Development Planning
Every decision is made with one question in mind:
"What gives this athlete the best chance of becoming the best player they can be in two, three and five years?"
That means balancing performance today with development for tomorrow.
Sometimes that means pushing.
Sometimes it means pulling back.
The aim is always long-term progression.
- An Independent Person Focused Only on the Individual
Every environment naturally has its own priorities.
Schools have school commitments.
Clubs have club goals.
Representative programs have representative goals.
The Junior High Performance Management service exists for one reason only:
The individual.
Having one experienced person overseeing the bigger picture provides clarity, confidence and peace of mind.
If you're looking for someone to help coordinate your teenager's physical development, communicate across the different environments they're involved in, and ensure they're progressing safely and effectively throughout the year, this service has been built specifically for that purpose.

Quick Questions
How do we communicate?
A combination of phone, messenger, Zoom/Teams and email - whatever is required or preferred based on the context.
Where is this located?
There is no physical location - service is from distance - you can be located anywhere. We manage your programming, training and loads from our end.
Can I do some face-to-face sessions?
Yes, get in contact if you would like this. But this is something separate and by no means a requirement or expectation of this service.
As mentioned elsewhere, we will be limiting spots to maximum of only 10.
Or if you would like more details, get in contact (more than happy to jump on a call where preferred too.)
